We Are North Dorset Girls

We continue with VX-3 in ND's colours of green, blue and gold. Three shirt designs are being finalised and the girls will choose their favourite — we want them pulling on a shirt they feel real ownership of.

We're working on a kit bundle to get everyone back into ND colours — details to follow.

Festivals: each age group runs its own festival to raise money for tour. U12s join the ND Minis Festival; U14s–U18s get dedicated waterfall tournaments (details to come).

Tours: U12s continue with the Minis tour in March/April. U14s–U18s start organising from September — and we want the girls to tell us where they'd love to go: Cornwall, South Wales, the Midlands or London.

We know plenty are still deciding — and we want to see everyone at pre-season. For governance we need everyone registered by 31 August, and ideally sooner so we can plan properly.

If anyone decides not to continue into September, we'll help them transition to another club — it's about the girls, and we'll support and respect any decision. Membership is per the usual ND pricing, which most will have paid in recent years.

We want as many girls to play rugby as possible. Under RFU rules, each girl can register with a further two secondary clubs.

For the girls who've chosen to remain with Castle Cary, we'd love to invite them to also register with North Dorset as a secondary club — training through the season and playing fixtures too.

All we ask is that girls let us know whether they'd like to train only or train and play. That way we can structure each session to give everyone the best experience and keep match-day squads fair.

The benefit of the vertical management structure within ND means you'll only need to be on one Spond group — your daughter's age group. The new groups are set up; codes and join links are below.

Fixture dates will be released on Spond the moment they're confirmed.

All training and home matches are at North Dorset; away games at away grounds. Every team plays in the new Somerset and Dorset/Wilts Series or Leagues, with a game roughly every two weeks to align with RFU rules.

And yes — we'll be travelling again up and down the A350, A30 and M5!
